What to do after your first social

3rd March 2015

You’ve attended your first event and we’ve welcomed you into the community. What now? From our experience – like everything in life  – the more you put in the more you’ll get out of it. New friendships are formed by shared experiences so we aim to make it as easy as we can for you to share some great moments with familiar faces and become a part of our community for life.

Here are our top 5  tips for getting the most out of thinking bob:Add friend

  1. Add members to your social circle After your first event you’ll receive an e-mail letting you know who you met.  Add these people to your social circle by clicking their profile and ‘Add Friend’ Once they’ve accepted you’ll be able to see each other’s profiles and see if you’re attending the same event.
  2. Continue to grow your social circle with the people you meet
This is your unique network with in London. Keep in contact with them via messaging or checking their profile for what they’re going to.
  3. Let people know your plans
If you get along well with someone at a social, you can easily arrange to see them at an upcoming social. Once you’ve signed up for an event you can choose to let your social circle know so they can grab their ticket too.
  4. Host an event
This is a great way to quickly grow your social circle and do the things you want to in the city. An exhibition you fancy seeing or just a new restaurant  – take the community with you. If you’re a bit nervous of new people just make it a private event and the invite will only go out to the people you know.
  5. Try at least 3 socials
Our events are unique and varied  – each offers something different and unique so it’s worth trying a few out to see what appeals to you. Did you know… that if you attend 3 Signature socials and decide the community isn’t a good fit for you, we’ll return your first 2 months subscription.

What have you got to loose?  Sign up for your next social today. Any questions you can reach the hosts via the website or e-mail our lovely community manager Katy.
