Presented by UCL this evening you will discuss and explore the controversy behind Sirens. Are they monstrous or just simply misunderstood?
There will be a screening of two episodes of cult television classics; Doctor Who (The Curse of the Black Spot) and Atlantis (The Song of the Sirens), both of which will depict the mythical legends that are Sirens.
In an introductory talk, Amanda Potter explores the myth of the furies and representations of these female monsters in art, film and TV. Then sit back watch the show and record what you think about it (if you want to!).
