The National Trust maintains Morden Hall Park, located next to Morden tube station on the southern tip of the Northern Line – around half an hour out of central London. The park sits on the banks of the River Wandle, which once provided the power for hundreds of mills in the industrial age. It’s recommended that walkers begin at the Potting Shed Café to the east of the park, before embarking on a zig-zagging route visiting all corners of the park. Walkers can expect a secluded feel, a series of charming bridges, quiet places to discover wildlife and pretty stunning water-side views.
