5 ways to stick to your New Year’s Resolutions!
6th January 2016It’s a statistical fact that 35% of people who make a New Year’s resolution will break it within a month.
There’s even a day dedicated to failed Resolutions! It’s called Ditch New Year’s Resolution day and it’s on January 17th.
So that’s motivating isn’t it?
Not to worry, Bob is here to help you reach your goals! We’ve gathered 5 of the most popular resolutions and given you tips and tricks on how to make sure you stick with it.
So pick your resolution from the list below and let’s do this together!
Exercise More / Get Fitter
There are a million and one reasons why exercising more is a great idea. Not only are there numerous health benefits, but it can also improve your mood, build confidence and help you sleep better.
However, if you find running on a treadmill or hitting the gym boring, then maybe you need to try something a little bit different.
Why not join in a team game? Rabble is one of our favouries. Forget traditional sports, this is all about fun playground games like Dodgeball, Capture the Flag and British Bulldogs!
Or why not join us for a running guided tour of London? We’ll be exploring the streets of Southwark at a run, with stops in between so our lovely guides can tell us about the history of the area. It’s fun, healthy AND educational!
Drink less alcohol
Cutting down on drinking is (obviously) great for your liver. Did you also know that it can help you lose weight, improve your work productivity and help you sleep better?
We’ve set up a whole selection of non-drinking events for you to go along and have a good time without having to drink alcohol.
Why not head to our Conversation Cafe and stick to cake and coffee while you get to know some new people? Or if you fancy something a bit more dynamic, why not join us for an Escape Room social?
Who needs alcohol to have a good time? Not us. And not you either!
Explore more of London
One of the resolutions we’re hearing a lot of this year is that people want to get out and enjoy more of life and London. So it’s time to get your walking boots on and start exploring!
Join us for a tour of Camden with professionally coached homeless or once-homeless guides. You’ll get historical but also unexplored glimpses of the city, as perceived through the lens of homelessness.
Or maybe you fancy an award-winning walking tour of Vauxhall, using old vintage maps to guide you?
Whatever you choose, were sure there are plenty of corners in London that you have yet to turn. So take a different route to work, get lost in a park and make the most of this big and beautiful city!
Save money
London can be EXPENSIVE.
We know. Rent, transport, food… it all adds up, and sometimes it can seem like saving money in the city is as impossible as finding a pot of leprechaun gold.
But you know what? It’s really not as bad as it seems!
There are PLENTY of things to do in London that are free. Completely, entirely, one hundred percent free. And there are plenty MORE things to do in London that are very cheap. Concerts, lectures, museums, shopping, theatre, cinema…
To help you in finding the best deals we’ve compiled a handy list of things you might be interested in.
Don’t let a small budget put you off enjoying the very best our city has to offer! You can save money AND have fun. Honest.
PS. Also, did you know that we have two special offers available for your first month at Thinking Bob? You can either have a free one month trial, or we can give you £19 credit to spend on socials!
